About This Approach

Body psychotherapy is an integrative form of psychotherapy that recognises that we are not just thinking beings — our bodies hold the memory of our experiences, our emotions, and our relational patterns. By paying attention to body sensations, movement, posture, and breath, we can access deeper layers of experience that talking alone may not reach.

This approach is particularly effective for people who feel 'stuck' in traditional talking therapies, those who carry unresolved trauma, and anyone who senses that their body holds wisdom their mind hasn't yet caught up with.

Sessions typically involve a combination of verbal exploration, body awareness exercises, movement, and — with consent — gentle touch. The pace is always guided by you, and there is no pressure to move faster than feels safe and comfortable.
